Valley Water was recently awarded $680,429 in grants from the U.S. Bureau of Reclamation for two planning efforts aimed at expanding Santa Clara County’s use of recycled and purified water. Valley Water’s board of directors approved a staff recommendation to finalize the needed agreements with the City of Palo Alto to allow Santa Clara County to expand its use of purified water. A new purification center in the region would bolster this drought-proof water source in Santa Clara County.
