Purple Pipe Contest Rules July 19, 2019

NO PURCHASE OR PAYMENT OF ANY KIND IS NECESSARY TO ENTER OR WIN.

The Purple Pipe Contest is sponsored by Valley Water.

ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS

This contest is open to all residents of Santa Clara County. Those who live outside the county will not be eligible to enter. Valley Water officials, employees and/or contractors, representatives, or agents are not eligible to enter. Relatives of Valley Water officials, employees and/or contractors, representatives, or agents are not eligible to win the contest. This contest is open to participants of all ages.

CONTEST ENTRY PERIOD

This contest will begin on Aug. 5 at 9:00 AM (Pacific time) and end on Aug 16 at midnight (Pacific time). The contest will run for two weeks.

HOW TO ENTER

To enter the contest, take a photo of yourself with a purple pipe or recycled water sign. Then, upload the photo to your Facebook or Instagram page. Like, follow, and tag Valley Water using our hashtags #purplepipes, #valleywater, #purewater4u, #svawpc, #purifiedwater. One submission per social media platform will be accepted. Entries must be posted to the participant’s Instagram or Facebook page, not in Valley Water’s comment section.

WINNER SELECTION

The winner will be selected by a random draw using commentpicker.com, a free online website used to select contest winners, on Aug 16. Names of the participants will be entered into the website and one winner will be chosen. The winner will be contacted directly through a Facebook or Instagram message to claim their prize on Aug. 19. We will also tag the winner in a congratulatory post on both Facebook and Instagram.

PRIZE

The prize for the winner will be a pair of tickets to Great America and two tickets to the San Jose Giants. The winner will have three business days to pick up their prize from Valley Water at 5750 Almaden Expressway, San Jose, 95118. If the prize is not retrieved within three business days, another winner will be selected.
